Hello all! First post here. I was so frustrated that I made an account just to talk about it here …
First a summary, I have been practicing with the B787 (systems, handling, different types of approaches ect…) for the past week and finally decided to take her out for a quick XC flight. KORD-KMSP. YAY!
KMSP WX = 1/4sm +SN FZFG VV006. I am super excited to shoot an ILS in these conditions! The flight was uneventful. Started my decent using the ILS12R approach to KRUGG via BAE.EAU9. Everything is great! Speed! Autopilot, plane is flying great! Once established on the ILS approach I was cleared to land. The landing was great. Juuuusssst made it down to minimums before having the runway environment in-sight. Landing was smooth, spoilers out, reverse thrust auto brakes off due to the snow and I see a 747 player take off on runway 22 passing over. Whatever, it is multiplayer hah… I continue to slow down and I get an achievement! Great, as I disengage the reverse thrust all of a sudden a ding and a pop up.
“Collided with an object.”
What? On the runway? During my multiplayer sessions, I have had planes taxi into me, no big deal. Airport vehicles drive through me on take off … nothing… but after this proud moment … I black screen because of a collision with an object? What object? Wuh? huh? WHAT!?
I have my settings on realistic, nothing turned off. Should I turn something off to avoid this in the future? I mean … not very realistic to run into an object on the runway that is invisible? Unless that b747 was the cause? Though I did not think aircraft collisions were a thing due to grieving?
Shall I just turn all that off to avoid the BS? What the hell happened?
