Fired up the Cessna SkyCourier this morning and was going ok until the ATC communication panel stopped showing tuning messages on a hand-off. I tried manually tuning in the frequency, and found that the G1000’s COM MHz knob with the mouse (drag or wheel) moves it by 2 MHz at a time – so if I was stuck on an odd frequency I couldn’t dial in an even frequency.
Eventually I got to the desired frequency (I think it maxed out at the high end on an even number so was able to reduce 2x at a time until it got to 128) but it never quite picked up ATC again.
