Hey,
I have broached this subject before and got a little grief for it…but I will try again.
I think that the help in these forums is great. However, many times I read a post about a new change someone has made to get that bit of improvement to their system and FPS, only to find out that they are running software (VR) that is completely different than mine or that they have settings turned way down due to lower spec systems.
I propose that we create breakout threads for posts of folks that are in the same boat…low end systems, high end systems, Nvidia users, AMD users…etc.
This way when looking for information about your particular setup, you will/may find people that have similar systems and software to yours that can directly be useful.
I know this breaks up the community feel of this forum a little, but we can still keep the normal channels open for posts, just allow more specific system threads for users.
Ideas? Counter arguments? Flames? Etc.?
I use an Intel CPU (not top of the line) new system is coming next week.
Pimax 8KX VR headset…w/Pimax XR and OpenXR toolkit
Nvidia RTX 3090 (non-Ti)
32 GB RAM 3200mhz (no OC)
ETC…
When I look through the feeds/threads of the forum I see hopeful signs of an improvement that might help me only to read that they are using completely different settings or hardware…just looking to improve the help given here if it is at all possible (the help here is great, but could be improved).
