Looking at the latest feedback snapshot concerns me a lot.
To see that they have not even started to work on the crashs to Desktop that happen A LOT since the last two patches is very worring.
The sim has become an absolute mess, and I basically don’t play it anymore since it’s usless in it’s current state. Why would I even bother to start a flight when the chance of beeing able to finish it is about 50%?
Crashs to deskop happen so often now, it’s just a waste of time.
To see that Asobo has not even started to work on these issues is pretty mindblowing.
Basically the upcoming Update 4 just mainly fixes stuff they have messed up with the last update. But nothing more.
At this point, they should actually give us a refund.
They launched a half backed product in August and then just made it worse with every patch.
I wonder if you will still feel inclined to post silly pictures in response to a perfectly reasonable OP like this after the next patch which has b*****ed up your enjoyment? I guess we will find out.
Might just be as simple as; it’s catalogued in the backlog (so they’re aware of the issue), and are busy researching what is going on. ‘Not started’ might just mean they haven’t started on implementing the fix yet, since they’re still researching.
I don’t know what the terminology used by MS/Asobo is here, but I’m fairly sure hard crashes will be high on their priority list.
And yet for many of us, we have never had a CTD of any sort.
As a software developer it is exceedingly difficult to debug an issue that cannot be reproduced. Best thing you can do is try to figure out what circumstances trigger a CTD, make it as repeatable as possible, and report it through Zendesk.
Only way bugs get resolved is through tangible evidence. That’s just the facts.
This is my setup and I don’t have any CTD’s anymore. To be fair, when I first downloaded the sim, I was having CTD’s, but after a few tweaks to my system, I’m problem free so far…
I found it disappointing Garmin and presumably nav system fixes, the TOP VOTED ISSUE are pushed out to Update 9, good grief.
But, if that means they are being realistic and are going to give it a lot of attention, I can understand it being further out. If they put it off until Update 9 and it’s still broken or has a whole new set of bugs, that will be frustrating to say the least.
yeh, the way I interpret it (and I could be entirely wrong) it seems like update 9 is the plan for the complete overhaul of the G1000 system, which includes a lot more than just the nav system fixes (hey, I’m hopeful). I’d rather they take their time and come up with a good new implementation, since the G1000 is an amazing system.
If there are any quick fixes possible I hope they get those in sooner (for instance, the whole ‘dolphins are back’ topic).
