Oh so minimise to system tray instead? Sure I can do that - allow me the Bank Holiday weekend to relax… sorry, get house chores done for the boss, and I’ll get it done next week.

Thank you so much @FPVSteve

any update on this option to shelve to system tray to free up precious task bar space?

Hi - I must confess, I forgot all about doing it. That’s my bad!

However, I’ve now updated the software so if you redownload it you’ll be on v1.0.0.2 :+1:

  • Allows adding “-tray” to your EXE.XML command line parameters to place the application in the system tray when minimised and remove from the taskbar.

Please note that the “-tray” parameter must be added before the “-m” (auto minimise on startup) parameter if you want the application to minimise to the tray as soon as it runs (if auto minimise is specified). If you do not want it to minimise on first run, but wish to have it minimise to the tray after you’ve seen the window, you can put the “-tray” parameter in any position.

The README.TXT explains it all in any case.

Let’s hope 2024 doesn’t have this glaring bug/quirk

Thank you for taking the time to add the option

The technical alpha did, so it may still be required. We’ll see!

Hi,
today it happend again: I did a 7 hrs flight and turning to final I accidently closed the wrong window - it was the Sim!
Why isn’t it possible to add a feature like “Are you sure you want to shut down…?” or something like that. Instead it closed immediatly! Really annoying, so many (less important) programs have such a feature, only it is still missing in the MSFS!!
