Confused traffic does not despawn 800 nm away, maybe causes degrading performance on long flights

Brief description of the issue:
Im not entirely sure if this is a feature request or a bugreport, but as i backtracked my flightpath in little navmap i noticed that 900 nm away from my current position, the traffic who was confused by go around instructions still circles above my departure airport, im sure it should be despawn by now to save resources. Could be the reason for degrading performance on long-hauls some users reported.

Fly far away from an airport where traffic was instructed to go around,
and backtrack your flightpath in litte navmap.
Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:
1.21.13.0

Live Traffic despawns after approximately 50-80 mile radius around the player aircraft (confirmed by also using Little Nav Map).

This must be Offline AI traffic. What are your settings for both airborne and ground (static at airport) traffic?

Also, are you using a Traffic Add On like AIG?

Its live traffic.

Im using AIG, sorry if maybe that is relevant. But atm i only use the liveries/models, not the traffic controller.

AIG could be part of it. In a stock simulation, I can confirm since SU6 everything despawns under a 100 NM radius around you. I dutifully monitor traffic on LNM and I’m also on Live Traffic. There is nothing around me past that circle.

Are you sure? I mean it is traffic who is already in an error state (unable to land after go around)
Traffic which i encountered enroute despawns how it should.

I’m also running Simple Traffic which is essentially the same thing as your AIG in the way we’re both using it - it’s simply slapping matching Liveries on any qualifying Live Traffic around me based on ICAO code. I have a very low end rig so I’m sensitive to performance hits more than most. Trust me, nothing is spawned around me for more than that range circle. You’ve got something else generating that. I’ve done 1500-1700 NM leg segments and everything despawns as expected.


Almost the same for me, except that orange blob over london.
I don’t have performance issues personally, i just thought maybe it would be something to look into because many are reporting degrading performance on long hauls.

When i had degrading performance (from 50 to about 7 fps after some hours) i solved this a couple of times by temporarily turning off the AI traffic so this makes sense.

This was without any traffic add ons.

I just did a test on this, spawning into EGLL with live traffic and empty community folder and forced 3 aircraft to perform a go around.

I then slewed the aircraft towards France and monitored the go around aircraft using LNM. When I got around 100 nm away these 3 go around aircraft all despawned according to LNM. When I slew back to EGLL they did not reappear, but other live traffic did spawn in.
