They have them in the sim but the Autogen system just mixes up varieties and applies them liberally across the scenery. Its incapable of deciphering conifers from deciduous trees hence the poor representation of pine forests in some areas.
In the UK we have point conifers everywhere too. The answer is to use the SDK to modify the forests locally or try the free Tree Mod tool. But ideally BlackShark and Asobo should take another look at trees and do something to try and imp[rove how the autogen works.
This data exists. SimHeaven X-EUROPE for X-Plane does it right. I don’t think that should be a problem.
I agree with you completely. ORBX get it right too so its down to the way that the Autogen system works and the decisions the developer made when deciding what data to use to identify the tree types.
To be honest I am worried that Asobo just dont think its matters all that much and that any old tree will do, I hope I am wrong.
