- On your tablet or phone, go to Settings/About Phone and check your IP address. Make sure it’s filled in properly on your xconn settings/Output in Network TCP/UDP section, and it’s port 49002, and use UDP Protocol is checked. In xconn NMEA options, I have everything checked except for “Use Aviation Data Format”. In Xconn settings/time, I have Use FSX UTC selected. In Xconn settings/Satellites, I have 3D Fix selected.
- When you are flying, I assume the xconn icon in your notification area of the Windows toolbar, it doesn’t have a red x in it. If it has a red x and you are flying, then it’s not connected to MSFS for some reason. If so, try exiting from Xconn and restarting it.
If it doesn’t have a red x on it, you can select right click “Show NMEA” and you can make sure it’s sending data. If it is, it’s a problem on your phone and tablet side most likely, or your tcp/ip address is incorrect.
- You definitely want to make sure Avare Apps Only is selected, and also make sure you are not in “Simulation” mode. If you bring up the menu in Avare, the third icon down on the right should say “Navigate” and not “Simulation”.
Try those and get back to me.
