I found it, they moved the option in Avare (mentioned in step 11 of my instructions above). I’m wondering if you even need xconn anymore.
In the menu list of Avare across the bottom, if you scroll it all the way to the right, there is a choice called “IO”. If you select that, at the top is a menu bar, pull it down and there is an “MSFS” selection. In there you can enter 49002. I do not have “Listen” checked.
Later tonight, I’m going to test it without xconn, maybe there’s some other way of broadcasting NMEA over 49002 from MSFS. I’ll let you know what I find out.
In the meantime fill this field in and see if it works with xconn…

Apparently FSUIPC7 also sends it, although I imagine you have to purchase the product for it to work.
