Connection lost messagešŸ˜–[SOLVED]

Hi all,

Lately I’m experiencing this dreaded ā€œconnection lostā€ message.
During a one hour flight it pops up like 8 times telling me that my connection is lost and seeing it connecting again after a few seconds.

Besides the fact that this message is annoying cause of the prompt window smashing into your face its annoys me more that every time the connection establishes again I need to go into the menu to turn the Bing data streaming back on.

I don’t know what I should do.
I think I’m out of options.

I rebooted my router several times.
I did the old logout and back in trick.
I did a speedtest.net (90mbps down, 30mbps up, 11ms Ping).
And I checked that I’m on the server with the least ping. For me that is the western europe server, 23ms.

What is going on with this sim?
I haven’t experienced this before soo badly.

Have you tried other servers? Maybe the server is overloaded?

Thanks for your input!!

Actually I did, but that wasn’t really successful either.

Hm, I see well in this case my only thought is that their servers are overloaded assuming from what u stated that your ping is fine.

Could be indeed, but its hard to believe, because its ongoing this entire week.

Same here… and loosing the Azure voice… I hate the helium filled child voices of ATC when it looses connection

I’m one step closer to the problem!!

I was staring at my connection on the desktop.
And I saw something weird.
The frequent connection lost outages are happening from within my own network.
I have to diagnose a bit further to find the culprit

Its not the simulator, It is on my end.
At least thats a step in the right direction.

Unplug your modem for a couple minutes. Plug it back in and let it boot

Issue solved.

Me and a friend figured out that two wires were wrongly connected in the RJ-45 plug.

Re-attached a new plug and my download speeds got tripled.

Awesome!!
