I think I fixed it for me.
Start sim
Go to Options: Data roll back day 1
Delete rolling cache
Apply and save
Log out
Log on still shows no connection
Empty out community folder
Repeat Options: Data
Restart sim
Seems to auto log on and finds US east coast server (I’m in Australia 
)
Market place back along with live weather no more grey areas
Fill up community folder
Restart sim haven’t had anymore issues (so far:rofl:
) Only thing I did notice it said world update VIII ready but it’s already loaded, click on it and it says OWENED…me thinks VIII was the bug
Think they should chuck a freebie in to say sorry

You can also change the server to which you are connected in the top right round icon at the main menu (your user account) without having to restart the sim. Normally this is set to auto, so it picks the lowest latency server, but you can set it to manual if you prefer.
