Thank you kindly for the further reply. It’s been a few years since I used Windows (Windows 7) so I’m not as sure about these things any more but I appreciate your suggestions here and will do those in a bit. I did do the NET repairs a while back but will try again.
I only bought this device to play MSFS and it’s been great up until the last Sim Update.
It’s a handheld OneXPlayer with 1tb built in NVME SSD and I put a 1tb SDXC in for many smaller or less important files - and those that load only once into ram at the start like aircraft mods and liveries.
It’s got 16gb ram and I now use an RTX2070 in an eGPU enclosure over Thunderbolt 4 which really transformed the game. So yes, an unusual setup but before you say that’s to blame, right now I’m flying over Sicily in my MilViz Porter, got 771 mods enabled (342gb) with a rock solid 30fps (locked vsync) and TLOD 50 / OLOD 70. This is enough for me on my 8.4” screen lol
Task manager says only 8gb of my ram is used (51% now) and CPU usage 33% (4.3GHz… I know that’s not totally accurate as it’s average of all 4 cores).
As it’s only this big of a problem in the UK I find it hard to believe something on the machine is causing it. But I will definitely run those checks after I land and report back! Thanks again mate.
