Yep. Same. Unusable

Hi folks,

For those of you experiencing this issue, can you check if your your graphics options are configured to use the combination of Nvidia DLSS for antialiasing and AMD FSR3 for Frame Generation?

If so, that is a previously-reported issue being discussed in this thread:

If you are not using the DLSS+FSR3 combo, please share screenshots of your graphics options clearly showing all your settings in this topic.

Thanks,
MSFS Team

Using TAA+Nvidia DLSS framegen X2 here.

hardware:

4070 Ti Super

Flickering with these settings:

Flickering on my end as well, but I don’t and have never used framegen or dlss.

Same here. Also noticing that stuttering when panning views is more frequent than the last build, and especially than the build before that, and often coincides with major screen flickering, especially in the air. On the ground, most of the flickering seems to be textures, whereas in the air, it seems to be the actual screen flickering when panning.

I’m at work but I’m seeing a trend. What happens if one selects DLSS for anti aliasing but not frame gen? Still happening?

Just tested. It is still happening for me

I’m seeing the flickering in VR (BSB) .. DLSS Balanced, no frame gen being used.

4090, 7800x3D, 32gb DDR5

Noticing that it is not just the textures flickering, but the screen itself is flickering especially in the air when panning

Now i am flying my first flight with the latest beta and reporting the flickering already yesterday when i was only testing it out quickly. I notice the flickering stops when you are mid air. So it happens what is seems like only on the gound or near to the ground

Yes, after a few flights I have noticed it happening more near airports than in the air. It’s quite erratic, a few flickers in quick succession, then at random intervals. It’s hard to tell what might be triggering it.

I especially notice it on the menu screen after hitting Esc while near an airport.

I noticed some intermittent flickering as well with the newest beta build. Before that I didn’t see the issue. For me it was also only noticeable at the ground with a certain amount of clouds. Being sat in the very same location, now with clear skies, the flicker disappeared.

Now I went and captured the flicker in a video to try and figure out what is going on. After extracting the still frames it looks for me, like there is something going wrong with the global illumination, which is perceived as a flicker due to the color changes on the apron here.

First the normal frame:

After that, the flicker frame:

If you compare the two pictures, there is a greenish hue in the non-flicker frame, which is missing in the flicker frame. This only last for one or two frames as far as I can see.

Here is also the video I extracted these frames from. The flicker is happening in the last second.
