I am sorry but as a paid consumer of this product ,I should not be expected to try and work out, with my limited computer knowledge, how to find and fix these contant faults with a programe
Am i Wrong with my frustration
come on M$ and Asobo PLEEAZE FIX this
I have tried every possible solution posted on forums and the internet world and still nothing works
watch this to the very end https://studio.youtube.com/video/SC-6G9W2zv0/livestreaming

we are not “MS and Asobo”… we are a helper community.

Have you installed EN Lang Pack ?
=> see FAQ https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015893879-How-to-troubleshoot-crashes-CTDs

Have you checked your AV-Protection ?

PS: what is this for a “livestreaming” youtube link ?

i have disabled ALL antivirus protection including windows defender yws i have english american installed
the live streaming link was to show you what is happening when i try to run the sim
I know your not “M$ and Asobo”,iam just venting
I am old and in poor health and this sim was the only thing keeping me happy now its gone

what kind you GPU ( graphicscard ) you own ?
You have some kind of special USB devices ? Wireless ?
What show you the xbox app ? Login and network ok ?

Because Language Pack… you tried what FAQ mentioned ?

If the English (United States) Language Pack is already installed

  • Select the voice package English (United States)
  • Click on Remove
  • Click on Add voices
  • In the search bar type “English”
  • Reinstall the English (United States) Language Pack

If the English (United States) Language Pack is not installed

  • Click on Add voices
  • In the search bar type “English”
  • Install the English (United States) Language Pack

PS: the yt link does not work, there is no livestream

I have a Mvidia GTX 1080TI 11 GB graphic card
32 GB ram
I have windows 10 vers 20 2H
1 TB Nv pci SSD (very fast)
Everything was working fine before last sim update
English US language pack re installed.
I disable wireless adapter (just using LAN)
Removes ALL USB devices

I understood you re-installed your windows from scratch and done same with MSFS.

What exactly is the situation ?

Also: you reported the exact same situation in November 2020…

https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/flightsimulator-will-not-start-after-update-again/290058/9?u=michamma

How you fixed that former issue ?

( and why you reinstall again all from scratch ? )

well I dont know how i fixed the november issue
ther situation is that the sim just wont run anymore
i did areinstall of OS on advice from M$ tech assisant because he coulnt fix my persistant system update error i was always getting

oh… a bit … confusing
Now you have fixed all windows issues ? Windows update works fine ?

When exactly happens the CTD ?
You see a loading bar, or already an image, or it direct crash after click on app start ?

Have you checked the xbox application ? You can login ?

Possible you can try to test an older nvidia driver. But we need more information…

Yes i can login to my xbox account, I even logged out and back in again
The CTD happens after second loading screen showing pictures of new updates (USA,BUSH TRIPS etc)
I dont know how much more info you need i have posted everything i know how to
I am not a computer tech

ok i did a fresh reinstall of MSFS2020 it booted up to start flying screen but as soon as i plug in my joystick BAM CTD
so apparently (i have tried this with all my USB controllers) as soon as i plug any USB n sim crashes to desktop
wtf?
everything is perfect in X-plane
and my controllers USED to work before the latest update MSFS 2020 but now USB support is broken
any ideas anyone?

Please try these steps . Make sure your memory isnt overclocked , secondly roll back gpu drivers do t use the latest ones . Use the November driver it works fine for me . Update windows update before booting sim , and run sim as admin . Let me know how it does.

I don’t over clock anything (i dont know how .
As far as i know the BIOS is set to default settting
But i will give the GPU driver rollback o try
Thank you

Let me know awaiting reply

Do you know the Nvidia driver number or a link to the one your using ?

https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/166627/en-us

there are different reasons depend on where the CTD happens…

Therefore we need all this informations. Also for “where we should start to ask”.

Let us know whether recommendation about "test an older nvidia driver. " works. The fomer link to 457 is what I meant with “older”.

Did it work?

so what happens now after installing (using DDU) and reinstalling 457.30 , I have to unplug ALL Usb devices the start then sim. I can now get to the "Start Flight"screen , choose airport and aircraft , set graphics etc. i am now inside the cessna and now i plug in my rudder pedals wait ,screen freeze for about 5-7 seconds the BAM CTD
if i try to start the sim with rudder pedals already pluged in the sim crashes to desktop at second loading screen so, no its not working
i have no antivirus installed, no OC enabled no programes runing in background.
as stated before everything works fine in Xplane11.51r1
