Constant Driver Timeouts (RX 7900 XTX)

Good day!

I have been experiencing constant driver timeouts during different phases of flight.

Until yesterday, everything worked fine, and CTDs occurred only rarely. However, yesterday I received my Thrustmaster Rudder Pedals, plugged them in, and was ready to fly. Unfortunately, after 15 minutes, the first CTD occurred. I then decided to opt in for SU2, but nothing changed—CTDs are now happening every few minutes. I have the latest AMD driver installed for my graphics card.

My Setup:

CPU: 9800X3D
GPU: RX 7900 XTX
RAM: 64 GB

  • Winwing FCU
  • Thrustmaster Joystick + Quadrant + T.Flight Rudder Pedals
  • Fenix A32X

I had the same problem reverted back to adrenalin drivers 24.1.1

I saw these begin after I disabled Re-BAR in BIOS and Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling and assumed that was related. Do you have either of those settings changed? I may have blamed it on the wrong thing.

Yea, but that doesn’t explain why it was working fine until yesterday

I kept all the default settings for that reason.

I’ve had pretty significant performance improvements with those changes, so I’m hoping the CTDs/timeouts I’ve experienced are more related to an AMD driver issue.

After reinstalling the Fenix A32X, I was finally able to complete a flight again. I hope it stays that way.

I’m having a similar problem, I can’t get a flight to last more than about 15 minutes.

Everything is stock, no addons of any kind.
I get some kind of warning that says my GPU’s memory is maxed out and I should consider turning down settings. My GPU memory is stable at 22GB, running driver version 25.3.2.

I can start working on preflight, loading the FMS, and usually about 10-15 minutes later the game just crashes to desktop without warning or error message. Sometimes I can get the engines running before crash, once I made it to the runway even!

Settings are set to what MSFS recommends on ultra, untouched. The CTDs started with the last beta in SU1 and again in stock SU1 and now again in SU2 beta. There were no crashes before SU1 betas but it is continuous now and I cannot complete a flight with any aircraft. Is it some kind of new memory leak or memory management problem? what changed since SU1 beta that has made this ■■■■ so unstable?

Is downgrading to an older driver recommended? Is there some setting that is causing the crash that I can turn down?

Okay, it didn’t solve the issue. I am still experiencing CTDs even after installing the latest update…

I am getting driver timeout issues nowwith 24.12.1 …
