Hello all. I’ve recently built a brand new computer and making sure BIOS/drivers/windows/steam/game/etc are all updated, I keep getting a hang and crash to desktop with the ominous Exception code: 0xc0000005 in the event viewer. I don’t have any anti-virus installed or any bloatware. Computer is barely a day old with a fresh copy of MSFS installed with nothing else other than the Carenado Mooney and Aerosoft CRJ series.

you must have made a mistake on the type of graphics card, right?

I’m asking because there is a serious imbalance between your setup and your GTX 1070, it may not be the cause of the CTDS, but a big bottleneck for any application .
I don’t know if you have updated your Nvidia drivers but I did it today, and I have a lot of CTDs. I haven’t had any for a few months, as I had fun OCing my computer, I said to myself that it was coming from there, I went back to the basic operation and settings before the Nvidia update, and after several tests, only CTDS

I did read another post that said the latest Nvidia drivers (or perhaps just GeForce experience) were causing CTDs and to use an earlier version

Here it is….

Nvidia CTD

Its a leftover from my previous PC. As you probably know, new graphics cards are hard to come by at this current point in time.

I’ll try an older version of graphics drivers, thanks

Thanks guys, rolling back to 472.12 seems to have rectified the problem.

I confirm, I reinstalled the old Nvida drivers, OC my CPU and MA GC and no more CTD, maybe a conflict with the new NVIDIA technology? The up and downscaling

Hi. Where I can download these previous drivers?

hi,
here https://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/472.12/472.12-notebook-win10-win11-64bit-international-dch-whql.exe

Solution

Nvidia Hotfix Driver 496.98 works without any problems.

Thanks for the heads up. Defeats the purpose of the MSFS developers producing an updated beta build to fix it. This is going to get very confusing.
