Okay, here is another question: while it might be acceptable in the GNS-XLS to use a terminal waypoint as a standard waypoint…
…isn’t it unusual that I can’t select a final approach without a transition?
For example, I can’t select ILS RWY 13L (EDDK) without the KBO transition; why is that?
Or how am I supposed to do it?
I would appreciate any help, as this GNS-XLS is unfortunately a show-stopper for the Falcon 50.
Hey you can skip selecting the transition by pressing BACK key and then SELECT, ENTER
Thanks
For ILS RWY 13L (EDDK), I tried deleting the KBO transition using the BACK key followed by SELECT and ENTER, but it didn’t work; the only way to delete the waypoints was via the route menu afterwards.
It all works quite differently in the real GNS-XLS, but okay.
Do you have an add-on airport for EDDK installed, Aerosoft?
yes Aerosft
But I have observed this behavior at several airports.
I’ll cross-check this behavior in another FMS (GTN750) at EDDK
Hi All, I’m trying to assign some buttons to my Bravo using Axis and Ohs, and strangely everything works ok, from toggling the chocks, to turning on switches on the overhead panel, but when I try to program one of the Autopilot buttons (such as the one labelled “PDSTL_EFIS_BUTTON_CLIMB_L” in the MSFS IEs selection in Axis and Ohs) they do not work. Everything else works apart from the EFIS buttons. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks
Is there a proper simbrief integration in this plane? I don’t like enter routes one by one.
Do you recommend this plane overall, compared to default business jets like cj4?
There is simbrief integration and I love this aircraft! Definitely better than the default.
There is a bit of a learning curve to it but once you know the steps it’s awesome. And this is coming from me who very rarely enjoys bizjets. I made an exception to this one because it’s so unique. ![]()
thanks for the replies. Bought the plane and indeed it is very good.
FMC is quite different compared to airliners though
I hope they’ll do that. Current fmc and the suit very old
I’m the opposite. I’m hoping and praying for the fully analogue gauges.
I thought you don’t use MSFS anymore. I love this addon, as it is.
Indeed, I don’t. Maybe I will change my mind for a FA50 in the same config that I flew it in. But probably not, the A220 so far hasn’t. Plus I sold most of my hardware anyway…
…and the Pro Line 4 isn’t? It’s a 25+ year old CRT display avionics suite.
It is, but it still is a very common set-up for FA50s and old FA900s. More modern than the current implementation, especially with EIEDs.
