Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
yes. FSLTL must be installed and sim started in normal mode in order to replicate
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
1- issue happens not only with FSLTL but also with MSFS Real-Time online Traffic (if you start the sim in normal mode)
2- Issue does not happen with MSFS Real-Time online Traffic when starting in safe mode. Looks like FSLTL folders must be taken in account to be able to reproduce the issue.
3- issue does not happen with your airplane, but contrail looks like very short, like the AI one under custom weather setup. What should be the right contrail length then ?, not too short and not too long (also depends of outside temperature/humidity/pressure).
