Control sensitivity way to sensitive, same for trim wheel

THANK YOU … Only had MSFS2020 for a week … BIG learning curve :orangutan:

Just checked, indeed the standard edition ones are only readable, they perhaps done this so people don’t pirate them?

Exactly. Quite annoying since that’s why there are basically no mods for these aircraft

Unless you do as the Guys that made the C150X do, and create a overriding files in the Community folder.
But then you are back to basics, figuring out all the correct parameters for EVERYTHING !!

But yes, it would be far easier to just be able to edit the original
and probably significantly harder to get ASOBO to fix the offending parameter(s).

It looks like this is the future of MSFS20xx – more and more locked down, and more and more controlled by the Microsoft Servers.

Suddenly FSX is not looking so bad, especially now that computers are so much faster, and there is just so much addon product out there.

Maybe it is becoming more and more obvious, just to wait, and do something else, till the sim becomes less buggy.

Time to try to get FSX to install on a current W10 system – there will be “issues” there as well.

C150 isn’t encrypted, they have all the files available to mod. Only the Aerobat is encrypted.

Well, I hope at some point they’ll find a way to have DRM but open all aircraft for modding.

Not sure about this…When throttle at 100% my elevator trim is uncontrollable, keeps going to full up about every 10 seconds no matter how many times I adjust it… After I throttle back below 85% it works and maintains.

Check your bindings, something is probably bound to your trim controls which shouldn’t be.

Thank you will do

Not sure about that, I’ve had some weird flares while attempting to land as well…I initially thought I’d hit an updraft but wind was very low at the time and it keeps doing it.

Was that in the A320 by any chance?

No, the Icon.

And the 172 come to think of it.

I think I know the answer to this. Are you using a Thrustmaster Throttle? I am, and the trim is set to the wheel on the left side of the throttle and it is very easy to roll it when pushing the throttle forward or back without knowing your doing it.

No, I’m using a playstation controller with the shoulder buttons as throttle up / down. Trim controls are up/down on the controller D-pad

I have the same setup… how do you fix it?

If anything, could you help me figure out how to map that wheel to camera zoom and unzoom? I like that configuration best and don’t know how to do it.

One of the default axis mappings is to move between +/- 100%. Turn that OFF. Leave on the trim for up/down (on the slider axis). That’s incremental. The former gives you 100% when you move the “slider”.

Try turning off “Assists” or Co-Pilot

This was during take off, Yes I use Thrustmaster Throttle but my trim is on the T1600 6 & 9. only other binding to trim is on keyboard (removed it) On a cross-country flight right now will check next takeoff.

edit don’t use assists or co-pilot

No assists on. Or co-pilot.

Have the same issue
elevator trim go full up right after I turn on AP on Cessna 172 G1000
checked binding turned off assist
