Based on their SDK documentation that’s how it works for multiplayer.
How do you flag icao generics? How do you know that wich your planes is 8. ?
I mean setting them to icao_generic = 1. The SDK documentation is calling it “flagging”.
You simply look at your folder and go from top to bottom (the files / folder). That’s how i know which plane was first and last.
My community folder? I have it organised with “modified by” so my 6 x icao_generic = 1 airplanes, only newest and oldest is showing? I dont believe in that theory. Is there some kind xml file that lists all the stuff in community, like on x-plane and you can change order of that? I remember that i did read that kind a folder.
It was just what i observed. It only used the A319 which was the first and the B739 which was the last in the list. I restarted the game and again the game was only using these 2 aircraft.
Try to remove b739, and check what is last aircraft aftet that and start sim and observe.
Did this work?
I actually have the CRJ model installed but no seeing it in sim.
Did this work?
You need to have the aircraft.cfg to have a separate FLTSIM with isAirTraffic=1 for it to spawn at the parking and as airtraffic.
Well partially yes, in video we can see some ENY filghts with American Airlines livery. But we also see without AAL livery…
So like this?

actual the Community has a big set of models and repaints for almost 80% of the world wide models already done for earlier Simulators and is currently in the process of bringing this to the new Sim as well. I do have currently about 100GB of AI traffic (946 Models and 15826 repaints for more then 1000 Airlines) for P3D that will be ported over to MSFS during this year
Oh yeah and all for free ^^ AIG is currently deveoping the MSFS version of the Tool that will install this traffic for MSFS: AIG AI Manager and Traffic Controller for MSFS
Unfortunately this has been a disaster within the Community and who knows when we will actually see this become reality. The only question becomes who gets it done first Asobo or the Community. Not holding my breath for either one as it doesn’t seem likely for either in the near future.
Yeapp, that’s right. But there’s a few things that need to be changed:
for [FLTSIM.0]
sound = “” ; the sound should be blank. Don’t use the soundai on the user selectable one. Because You don’t want to fly using the AI sounds.
atc_id_enable = 1
atc_airline = “AirFrans” ; Don’t use all uppercase letters on your atc_airline. This is because the ATC will read them as an abbreviation. I tried with “NEW ZEALAND”, and the ATC calls me “EN EE DOUBLE YOU ZEALAND”. So the only way the ATC can call you properly is to just use “New Zealand” or in your case is actually should be “AirFrans” according to the official ICAO callsign.
atc_flight_number = “” ; This is so the flight number can be taken from the main menu ATC options.
atc_heavy = 1
atc_parking_types = “GATE,RAMP” ; Remove the Cargo, otherwise the ATC may send you to a cargo parking on arrival.
For the [FLTSIM.1]
atc_id=“” ; This should be blank for the AI to spawn correctly
atc_airline = “AirFrans” ; Same reason as above
atc_flight_number = “” ; This should be blank too for the AI to spawn correctly.
atc_heavy =1
atc_parking_types = “GATE,RAMP” ; Again, you don’t want these AI to spawn at cargo parking spots.
But everything else is fine.
Yes, but this will take a while to convert all those models and liveries. There’s a 1000 of them, and you need to make sure these can installed as a community mod and integrated into the sim and not as an external tool. Which needs to do a lot of work converting them, and testing them to make sure each of them is spawning properly. It took me hours to do just 20 liveries on the default A320 without doing any model conversion at all, so doing all that takes time. Not to mention there’s a lot of copyright, and licensing stuff that needs to be taken into consideration. Which takes a long time to do if it indeed doable. Until that is finished. We have to make do with a simpler process.
Thanks. I need to check on the CAPS because I think I got error in PSX if I didn’t include CAPS.
Another question: What if the folder only has FLTSIM.0 and has isUserSelectable = 1. Can I change that to isUserSelectable = 0 and isAirTraffic = 1 to get AI traffic or do I still need to create a FLTSIM.1?
Just realized that Kaiii3 is the face of AIG lol.
Guys i give up. There is just no way to have more than one aircraft model to show with live traffic. I have done lots of testing and did try lots of things but nothing works. So, i am going to put all the eggs in one basket with a320neo. I will now do this mod best as possible with a320neo liveries. So this mod over writes allt he airtraffic planes to a320neos. But i dont want to promise, that i will publish this. Maeby i do this only for me and you that asked me to test early versions of this.
The only way to get the sim to show a whole lot of different aircraft models is to have lots of different AI models and airline liveries for those models and switch off Generic for AI. Then if a flight is say British Airways (BA) with an A330 and there is a matching AI A330 model and BA livery in the sim, the sim will display it. People are working on this. In the meantime an A320Neo and megapack liveries generic mod was published quite a few weeks ago and that is what many of us are using until something better comes along. No offence but you seem to be going over old ground with the work you are doing.
Nice. Where is that mod you mentioned?
edit. I just tested this: https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/fUpuoBhd-cE
So i did get a320neo AND asobos generic A330 to show in same scenery. In theory it would work if there is liveries made to generic a330, but off course there isnt.
After many hours I gave up on IVAO models as the first livery matched would ‘stick’ and be used for rest of that model type.
So just using the A320N, 787-10 and 747-8 Asobo models + PSXSeecon + RealTraffic, it matches fairly well. There are graphical glitches, sometimes the aircraft float a few feet in the air while taxing.. oh and the FPS hit is about 10, uhhhhh… but hey, its ok considering how restricted the sim is for AI Traffic at the moment!?
EGLL T2
Yeah, the FPS hit may come from the 787 and 747 not having a dedicated model for AITraffic. It’s loading the model with full LOD and it also renders the full LOD interior as well. you multiply this, and the FPS hit is insane.
If only there’s a way to duplicate those models, and mod them in such a way that it uses a lower LOD, and to prevent the interior from being rendered. That should improve the FPS.
