I understand what this thread is about. It seems though that you have not come across and experienced how this also affects aircraft as well as the UI. Example. I want to say have my barometer use Hpa/mb. Because the altimeter in the C414 is tied into this I have to use Hybrid or Metric to get HPa but then I’m stuck with speeds in km/h on the aircraft selection screen. I change to using US units to get the speed in knots but then the aircraft that are tied into this have their altimeters in inHg. (See images, 1st is Hybrid, 2nd is US)
An altimeter type that has both readings concurrently is obviously not affected but if it has a single readout and is coded to be tied into this system then yes it’s affected as described above.
Absolutely not asking or wanting that. We are in agreement on that part.
