This is the UI and what I have been referring to when I said these options affect the UI.
I would actually argue that the 414 is a poor implementation if you can only change the altimeter based on this setting. Even if Asobo fix this bug and allow us to set the pressure units separately I wouldn’t think I should have to change the unit settings for my whole sim just to get one aircraft to change its altimeter units. Most other add-on devs do this by having the pressure units selectable in the EFB or by having different liveries (eg a European one and an American one) which use different altimeters and I think those are the correct ways to do it. That way if I want to fly in the US I can just pick a US livery or set up that aircraft for flying in the US without changing global sim settings. If I owned the 414 I would be raising a ticket with them to improve on this implementation.
I didn’t say anything about an altimeter which has both units concurrently, I said “3rd party add-ons supporting both units of measurement” which is what the 414 is. I think you may be intentionally misinterpreting my comments for the sake of argument so this will be my last comment on this topic.
