Glad to see a dev realise not having a mandatory tablet is a good thing.

In all likelihood, on day one…

@dTwotonemurphy What airport were you flying from in that video?

Looks nice but are we at a point where we are sacrificing PC performance for things we hardly ever see while flying? It’s not a problem specific to this aircraft but seems to be a trend. Wish there could be an ā€œinspection modeā€ for gawking and a flying mode for flying the stuff with less detail. I don’t think you’re going to climb out and look at the brakes while flying the thing.

Our goal is to make an accurate plane than just works. No tablet, no external programs needed. Press ā€œFlyā€ and thats it.

None of our testers experienced any drop in performance. Most of the load in MFS is scenery and lighting.

So glad to see that. It’s a refreshing change. Most seem to have lost sight of the fact that the tablets used in aircraft are EFB’s not glorified aircraft control apps. The real ones don’t have tablets for doing things on the aircraft so I’m sure a simulated aircraft can be the same. Looking good.

It looks pretty decent based on the video. Since, to your point, it has been designed to be simple without additions (no tablet, walk around feature etc etc) will this be reflected in the eventual price? Also, have you found a way to overcome the MSFS quirky physics flight model logic that limits the realism of so many planes?

The MFS model is perfectly fine. There are a few weird things that i have fake or fight the game over, but as user you dont notice and thats what matters.

Value is subjective. There are planes for this game with tablets and walk arounds that are only good for screenshots that cost more than others.

Iā€˜ve only seen the DA42-VI recently. Are you still planning on the original Centurion Engine variant? :slightly_smiling_face:

Looking forward to getting the Twin Star either way!

Itā€˜s reassuring and soothing to see Tommy being part of this. I love the Da42 and heā€˜s the right developer for the plane :+1: Exciting!

I still can’t find my way through Discord too well, even though I’m on quite a few servers by now. But I found the teaser - so, as Jƶrg would put it, Yay! :hugs:

@MrTommymxr If you’re involved, then can we hope for a visible copilot inside the cockpit?

As long as I can disable the copilot’s visibility, and it stays invisible until I turn it back on. Some folks like to see them, while I find them distracting.

Very much looking forward to this one. Its a great aircraft IRL and from what I can see it is matching that in the SIM.

I do love a tablet that has integration like simbreif/navigraph as this is similar to when I fly with my tablet and ForeFlight. For me (on xbox) this is a very nice thing. Once the WT G1000NXi charts features are integrated I can use a table outside of the sim to do the same thing as one in the sim.

Looking forward to this one.

I’ll bug our modeling guy to add a clickspot.

I find that it breaks the immersion to see the copilot from outside, but not inside.

That’s all I can ask! Your DA62X has always been my go-to hotrod twin. From what I can see, it looks like this release will finally replace that. Really looking forward to it!

Interesting. I’m just the opposite. Different strokes, eh?

Same here.

ā€œYep, it’s nice!ā€
A great review, too!
