COWS DA42 Released!

Wow! Works beautifully. I guess I have my default now.

For me it’s just CTD when I click on it to configure. :frowning:
Tried reinstalling DA42 package to no avail. Trying to find a solution now.
EDIT: something went haywire with my Spad.Next config. Emptied the MS Aircraft control config and it works fine.
One question: I have 2 Navigraph Settings on the AUX page. If I activate it the service comes alive but the navigraph maps blink and useless. Could it be because I use it for both 2020 and 2024 and somewhere 2 different config files are created? Can these be separated?
Pics for attention, no banana to scale!

Hi Guys,
with the 1.1.4 update the DA42 works as expected in MSFS2024, but:
I am not able to move the aircraft. It feels like MSFS thinks, that the chocks are still on,but there are no visible chocks even in the walkaround, so no clickspots to remove them…
Any tips for me?
Thank you in advance,
Tris

Did not run into this. Are you sure the parking brake is fully releasing? Do you have realistic parking brake turned on? Eng page and then outer scroll wheel to get to config page.

Hi Jacobes,
I tried with realistic brake on and off. same problem.
How do i check, if the brake is fully released? The lever is all forward…

Btw. The 42 is on sale again!

At least, MSFS 2024 got one thing correct! It is my favorite.

Bit of an issue on the checklist page…

I can’t get the rudder to work in MSFS2024, it is assigned, works on other aircraft. Rudder pedals don’t move at all (don’t mean ground maneuvering, I know the DA42 doesn’t have steerable nosewheel). Anyone else with the same problem?

And oil pressure is zero, oil temperature rising with a host of other alerts.

I assume it takes time before this is effective if bought via the MSFS Marketplace?

The update has not hit the MS store yet.

Any indications when it would be in MS store? I assume they have their hands full with their half baked release, so it might come soon?

well there is no MS store for MSFS2024 so… we have to wait.

Does this mean that updates will also not get through? Most planes purchased via the market place are available is FS2024 already…

For now updates seem to be on hold too. I’ve been waiting for the marketplace update of the Wilga for days now. If I’m not mistaken the update was pushed soon after the release of 2024. I’m curious whether it’s already available on 2020.

This thing is starting to get more and more ridiculous. Wonder if they have ever thought about all the developers missing income during holiday season because nobody is able to buy stuff in FS2024 and probably holding off buying stuff in FS2020. Worst timing ever.

imo they dont care AT ALL on other developers. you see this on the sheer amount of aircraft they release, leaving almost nothing to others.

Also that of course, Blackbird dropped their ATR because it couldn’t compete, now we have this thing that is anything but ā€œexpertā€. I didn’t check out most of the default aircraft yet, I expect them to half baked but probably done well enough that it isn’t worth the time and money for other devs to invest in a study level version…

Anyway, back on topic. Will wait not so patiently for an update .
