I have a 1080 ti GPU paired with Intel i6700k CPU @ 4.2 GHz 4 cores with HT on, ASUS z270e mobo, no overclocking
I admit rather dated PC, still at 1080p resolution, TLOD 150, all other settings on ‘ultra’ (except air / land / sea traffic and airport workers / vehicles) I have solid 40 fps
The best recommendation I can give is to select the fastest 8 cores CPU (highest GHz) you can find
More than 8 cores is currently rather useless for MSFS
My CPU is rather dated but its frequency is still faster than many 12/16 cores out there and with HT on the 4 physical + 4 logical cores perform well
Having 8 physical cores at, say, 4.6 / 4.8 GHz will be ideal
