I think it’s fair to day 9800x3D is king at this moment.
BUT=>>>> 2 things:
- The fact that it was released 1st this time. (ask why?)
- The vCache also being on the 2nd CCD of the 9900x3D and 9950x3D?
= Let’s wait for MSFS24 benchmarks on all three 9-series CPUs!
I mean, it’s entirely possible that specifically for MSFS24 (being at the forefront of multithreaded gaming) and this weird introduction order to AMD lineup means there might might particularly for 1% or .1% lows be a new “King of MSFS24” CPU on the horizon
Who will win: 9800x3D, 9900x3D, 9950x3D
What do you think?
other considerations:
overclocking will be supported this gen
thermals look low, so perhaps there’s more to gain
being heavily multithreaded - will the relatively small core count of the 9800x3D actually hinder MSFS24 performance compared to it’s brethren? (Keep in mind those “turbo” settings park half the cores and stomp on simultaneous multithreading (SMT))
