Well the 5800X3D is probably going to see a very noteworthy improvement in 2024. Shouldn’t need this much power to run it well anyway. It’s definitely a bit more of a process to bump to the 9800 vs a 7800 user. Unless your chasing a number, hopefully a 5800X3D with a 4070ti super or better may not even warrant an upgrade.
And even that is running ultra everything. I also hope the settings are more linear in 2024 where you can turn this up or this down and get 60+ stable FPS and it just stays there.
I’m never leaving 4K or better and I’m pretty sure those of us with 7800X3D’s aren’t going to ‘need’ much of anything. Maybe chasing VR as they add things into the sim later.
Even though I like my giant screen and 4K I’m still a bit envious at times of those that run 1440 as I could scream FPS out on that setup. And I’ve never felt compelled to run ultra super duper everything anyway. Just want it smooth and seamless. The problem with 2020 is the settings mean nothing when an origami traffic aircraft showing up can burp a 4090.
