Make sure that you flash the Bios before you install the new CPU since it will not post until you do. There are lots of videos on how to do it with just the Mobo and power supply.
I am upgrading my 10800K system that I got back in 2020 from Cyberpower PC. I am re-using my SSD’s, 850W Power Supply, Lian-Li Case, and my Thermaltake AIO. I was able to get a 9800x3D at Microcenter a couple weeks ago. Just picked up the MSI X670E Gaming Plus Mobo from Newegg, and plan to pickup 64gb of the Gskill Neo DDR5 6000 CL30 next week. I plan to keep my EVGA FTW Ultra 3080 in the system until the 50 series drops next year. Since everything is technically for xmas I hope to be up and running on the new CPU NLT Dec 26th!
