ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue:
Twice now I have tried to fly a career passenger transport mission from GCTS to BIKF. I have quite a lot of fuel and passengers in the airplane so initially I climb to FL350. After I while I want to perform a step climb to FL360 so I enter this into the FMC VNV page under “Step” and as the FMC tells me to initiate the climb I press the “ALT INTV” button, precisely when I do this my game freezes and multiple other programs on the PC also crash because of low memory.
Two days later I tried the same flight with the task manager open and MSFS initially used only ~5GB but as soon as I clicked the “ALT INTV” button the game froze again so I alt-tabbed back to task manager and see MSFS memory usage climb and climb and climb indefinately, ending up around 20GB with 100% ram usage but still trying to allocate all available page file memory. At this point I manually killed the process this time before other applications would start to crash again.

No other mods or add-ons are installed.

REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:
- Fly the passenger transport career mission from GCTS to BIKF. Perform the full expert checklist for all steps of flight, take-off and climb to cruise level of FL350.
- Enter step climb FL360 into FMC VNV page.
- Press “ALT INTV” to initiate step climb. At this point auto-pilot should be engaged in LNAV and VNAV mode (according to expert checklist it’s engaged after 400ft, and LNAV&VNAV should be engaged even before takoff)
[PC ONLY] FAULT BUCKET ID
There is no fault bucket, the game just keeps allocating as much memory as it can until Windows start killing other processes and eventually the game itself.
What you get instead is Resource-Exhaustion-Detector logs like this:
Windows successfully diagnosed a low virtual memory condition. The following programs consumed the most virtual memory: FlightSimulator2024.exe (42172) consumed 78507225088 bytes
that is 73 GBs (and it would allocate even more if it could…)

NVIDIA RTX 4080, driver 576.80 on first crash and 577.0 on second crash today.
