Because it’s a hit or miss. Ever since I installed the game, I accumulated 200+ hours of flying without any CTD. Suddenly after a couple of MSFS updates I started get consistent CTDs in the middle of the flight for no apparent reason (may have been related with addons though, I suspect FSUIPC because after I upgraded it I had no more CTDs).
Then things returned to normal for a few months, I upgraded to a 6800XT and I began getting CTDs even in the main menu 100% of the time. My workaround currently is to use AMD app to switch to manual tuning, leave everything to default and only set max fan speed to around 80%. It doesn’t make any sense.
