Does anyone else have this? FS2020 even crashes if I quit out of VR into normal display to try to save a flight: the menu “Load, Save” comes up as it should but when I click on save the game hangs and I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL to quite out of FS2020.

Have you checked a “save as” windows opens “behind” the sim? Found it by accident when I switched to windowed mode and saw that new window popped up on my desktop.
Just come across this myself. Surely in this day and age it could be made to save in the folder without having to select it.
