It would be nice to be able to disable/enable peripherals in-game in the controls options menu. For example, I have a yoke for use with planes and a flight stick for use with fighter jets. It seems like some of the functions of the different peripherals interfere with each other, which creates major chaos when trying to fly a jet and the gear or flaps aren’t working even though they are properly mapped on my flight stick. Therefore I have to unplug the devices I am not using for the moment. It would be more convenient if there was an option to disable the unused devices in-game to avoid this issue. Or if there was a setup menu for each specific aircraft where you could select the default peripherals that are automatically enabled so that only those devices selected will work for that aircraft. That might be another way to do it.
Have you tried creating a new empty profile in your flight stick config and name it ‘Flightstick - Disabled’ for example. I know it’s a bit of a work around at the moment but it works for me.
You will have to create an empty profile for each stick/yoke you have of course.
Yes creating a empty profile for all those items you may want to disable in some instances is the solution for now. You hit the nail on the head though with the per aircraft requirement. I just don’t understand why it wasn’t designed this way in the first place. Each aircraft should have its own profile where you can select what items to use and what bindings they have. These aircraft profiles should be loaded automatically whenever that aircraft is loaded so once you setup each aircraft there is nothing more to do unless you want to change something around. The concept is very simple and much needed.
I haven’t tried that yet, I will have to look into that. Thank you for the tip!
