CRJ-700 AP Issue Since World Update V

I seem to have an autopilot issue with the CRJ-700 since today’s World Update V. When I engage AP, the plane immediately tries to go up at 6000+ FPM and sometimes rolls right. It will not settle back down and the plane starts to stall pretty quickly. It continues to climb rapidly even if I try to use ALT hold to level it out and if I hit the VS button it goes up automatically and maxes out at 12 and will not let me change it. It also seems to not want to follow the FMS1 route in NAV mode. I fly the CRJ-700 a good bit and was not having this problem before the update. Anyone else having this issue?

I was having issues with AP on all aircraft today - the reason was that Windows Update checked a box under Control Panel/Region/Administrative/Locale - it’s an option for Beta Encoding. It completely messes up the sim’s navigation. But nothing in terms of climb issues. So check that out first.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked the Locale / Beta Encoding setting in the Control Panel and the box was not checked for me.

I read your post so I did a quick test flight. All normal for me today. Is your Flight Model set to MODERN in GENERAL OPTIONS ? Your key bindings may have been effected by the update? I sorted out my issues by uninstalling and reinstalling the CRJ. Good luck.

I checked the flight model and it was still set to MODERN. I uninstalled and reinstalled the CRJ to see if that would fix it. I did a quick test flight and it seems to be working better now. I will do another longer test flight when I get a chance. Thanks for the help @billgranada!

Did two two hour flights in the crj today … both worked perfect … weird stuff

oh boy I was ready to update and fly the CRJ tonight but we’ll see lol. If I get anything weird i’ll reinstall it.

Did you have the version purchased direct from Aerosoft with their installer or did you have the MSFS Store version?

Hopefully mine was just an isolated incident and the reinstall seems to have cleared it up. I have the MSFS Store version. I will do a longer flight tonight to confirm.

Some flights work perfect. On others I have encountered the ‘conga dance’ between waypoints, TOD being incorrect and ILS that veers off on 6mile final. This having reinstalled. I’m not hearing a lot of other folk having problems apart from a group of us that fly together. I’ll disconnect my xbox controller… :roll_eyes:
