I have noticed that on 2 occasions now over the last couple of days, after a lengthy checklist, adding flight details into the FMS and startup procedure, when I commence to taxi to the runway the aircraft just stops and will not move. It hasn’t frozen as I can see the jet air and those nasty airside vehicles still on the move. What ever I do or try will not make it go any further. Even full throttle doesn’t do it. The only answer is to exit out and I have to start all over again. Just another glitch.
Sounds to me like you turned active pause on.
It isn’t a bug I’ve had or seen anyone else talk about. It hasn’t been updated in the last two days for it to all of a sudden start having this issue.
I have just updated (SU4) and flown the CRJ - without any problem, so I doubt the update is the cause.
I had this issue when using escape to pause, a pump of the brakes released them but the game would unpause with the toe brakes locked, Active pause (backspace) doesnt cause this issue, but It would cause another issue where the aircraft continued to gain speed in active pause and unpausing would suddenly catapult the plane down the taxi way! The fix it to use active pause but only when completely stationary with the parking brake on
I have had this issue not too long ago. Check the calibration of your rudder pedals in Windows by running Win + R
and typing joy.cpl
. When I had this issue, the rudder pedals were calibrated so that the idle position was equal to half of the total braking force. And indeed, toggling the parking brakes would reset the brakes, until the next tap of the rudder pedals. Recalibrating the pedals or resetting to standard values should fix the issue.
