We have thread lists for our top aircraft we want done, many threads of specific aircraft made by loved developers have nominated ‘aircraft to do next’ mentions…
I.e pmdg 737 with many 777 mentions…
Would it be possible for those who are overly interested in a specific aircraft and a developer in mind to build it, do a specific thread, almost like a virtual hat around the room, crowd fund and, offer an actual $$$ investment, aim it at a specific company and get some of our wish lists into the production line and out into the msfs community…
Here is an example that could end up being its own thread…
Hawker Siddeley Hs748
I would absolutely love nothing more than a complete and high fedality Hawker Siddley Hs 748 in msfs, and with such a beautiful plane in a beautiful world, one that arguably, was a very popular aircraft that saw operations for most of the worlds main airlines and in all four corners of this world…
I feel that there would definitely be a market for an aircraft such as this…
Justflight… could you do this???
With your BAe146 and soon to be RJ and Fokker 28/70/100.
I feel you guys would probably be the right and most logical developer to get this bird into the production line…
PMDG with experience with its Dc6 and the “ghost FO…” could be a secondary team if justflights too busy or…
Milviv/Blackbird could see an opportunity
If those who really want this bird and if we get enough here, who are willing to invest up front to make this product viable to be the next aircraft you develop and for example…
I am willing to put in like 100nzd straight in… and pending how many other people post and are also willing and choose x amount they can part with (hobbiest/collectors is a blurred world in msfs and its these sort of people who are willing to pay anything for their love… especially something that is of mint quality)
Like Maddog (an example of a developer and price model aimed at, not the masses but the small community who loves that type of aircraft…) Those who want a HS748 in full working order will pay for a reasonable but higher price knowing that they would be a minority who wants and can fly an old temperamental aircraft with full manual procedures and navigation…
The developer then works out basically the viable market and the average price we are willing to pay, that makes it not only viable for them but a profit for company to continue to grow and develop, then.
With that upfront investment… works full time on the corresponding product… in this case…
X amount post on this page offering what they find is reasonable for the HS748 and Justflight works out if there is a market or if any others see an opportunity and say… “yip we can do it…” and we pay the money through their official site…
Would this idea work in both, reality and on this forum/platform??
A hobbiest/collector on msfs will always pay $$$ for something they really want in absolute mint condition… It all comes down to the pure market and profit, that product would potentially make and what a better place to find that market than here…
