Crystal Light review by VR Flight Sim Guy

I think Pimax used Ernie (on the left), from Sesame Street’s Bert and Ernie.

I placed an order with StudioForm yesterday. Going with the PU leather front and back + spacers to customize the fit. :crossed_fingers:

I have mine plugged into a switchable power strip (same setup I had with the G2) and it works well. My SOP is to open Pimax Play, then switch on the headset. On shutdown, I close the software first, then switch off the headset.

My (also switched) power strip is on the floor, under the desk. Hard to reach & awkward. So now I’ve got this setup:

Here is what I use. It costs $12. Every hardware store in America has items called something like: Extension Cord with Switch On/Off Plug.

The switch on these is attached at the end of a long wire that you can place anywhere close and handy. The other end of the long cord plugs into a mains AC outlet.

Amazon search box on general terms like :
Extension Cord with Switch
The one I bought is marked as “Amazon’s Choice” and I purchased the same day as I received my PCL VR headset.

So did I 2 days ago. I also bought the weights that attach to the back strap. This should lift the headset off of my nose (it puts pressure on my nose.

As for the faceplate spacers, right now before the goodies arrive, I am using 5 standard size Kleenex tissues folded into 4ths. And this layer of tissues held onto my forehead with a short nylon buckle strap which goes around my entire head.

If someone already have a giant headset on their head, there’s nothing like a makeshift contraption to make themselves look even more ridiculous.

Along with your Kleenex spacers, to make the temporary setup complete, tie some sausage weights on the back

I LIKE it !

Yeah, sorry I can’t take credit for that one… it was included in the “read the tutorials” link in my purchase confirmation email from Pimax.

WHAT?! They returned your email?! … :astonished:
