CTD after latest update (Update #5)

What is the error in the Event Viewer? Some of these CTD’s are hard to troubleshoot.

This last update and the one prior - when it coincided with a Windows 10 update, need to make sure Windows 10 is not doing that update while also updating MSFS. I’ve gotten in the habit of checking for Windows 10 updates first, then MS Store updates. Restart PC then do the MSFS update. Not that it will solve a CTD but just as a rule of thumb.

Is this what you are looking for?

Yes.
So the crash is on d3d11.dll. Take that error and search the forum on which will give you this result:
Search results for ‘d3d11.dll’ - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums

So in your case of CTD from this search, it looks mostly related to graphics card driver. If you look at some of those search results, some had to reinstall their graphics card driver or roll back one or check to see if there’s an update to it.

Well I have uninstalled and reinstalled, rolled back video driver, but still the same issue. I have submitted a request to zendesk… :crossed_fingers:

Good!
There’s a small update to MSFS coming today for a fix on the Market Place (again). Generally this helps with other problems too even though it’s not related.

what you get for a error if you deinstall completely! your nvidia drivers… RESTART Windows… Let Windows install its default nvidia drivers… RESTART Windows… and then try to Start MSFS…
Do you get other kind of error message ?
