It is impossible to perform a complete flight in the drill. Today, Sunday, I tried a flight from Budapest (LHBP) to Dortmund (EDLW), a little over an hour into the flight, CTD occurred. The same flight, and it is possible to land in Dortmund. After taxi to door, when trying to perform a lateral external view to determine the stop zone, another CTD. Third flight attempt, from Madrid-Barajas (LEMD) to Rostock-League (ETNL), after more than two hours of flight, where the connection to the Azure servers was lost, the ATC continually lost my flight plan, having to recover it again, and after beginning to initiate descent and approach to the destination, there is a total electrical failure in the plane. I try to recover batteries to start APU, and suddenly another CTD. It is impossible to do a full flight since the last update. Iām sick of Asobo trying to get Xbox into the sim when they canāt get it to work decently on PC. Iām tired of a simulator that will be very nice visually but deep down itās a complete buck of shiā¦ Each new update makes me fear since I donāt know what new disaster I will find.

I feel your pain. I have been enduring CTDs since SU5 and itās impossible to complete a flight of more than one hour. So much for all the ābug fixesā with SU8! The sim is completely unfit for purpose and this problem will eventually drive all users away.

I can only repeat what I mentioned sometime: there must be a reason why I can play with no single CTD and you run into issues. But without informations and a constructive discussion, how can we/anyone help ?
I have always CTDs after SU8 anytime I change the default audio device in windows.
And I need to do it as rift-s sometimes resets itself.
Nothing related to other hardware or software and nothing related to the community. It crashes from the initial video to ingame, whenever I or the rift s decides to swap the audio device. This is much more frustrating than the old CTD due to USB (which also occurred in the past due to rift-s reset). There is always the message āfixed crashes among the titleā at any update, and it is partially true, it never crashes for the same reason, however there are always new reasons for crashes. The new audio options maybe the actual oneā¦ It is something ridicolous, I waste 10 to 20 minutes to load something just to see it closing by itself and I need to waste the same amount of time.

Yep, CTDās here too. All was working perfect prior to SU8. Now I canāt even get to point were I can start the plane.
Community folder was disabled too.

For what is worth, I removed motion blur and CTDs disappeared. I couldnāt do more than 60 seconds into the sim with motion blur enabled (any level). Itās not a necessary feature for me so it was not a bother.
I am getting tons of CTDās since installing Perfect Flight Beautiful World. I start it and it runs good, until I open VR Map plug-in or RTSS, then immediate CTD. VERY frustrating. Just turned off Motion Blur, which may be helping - not helping.
Also, regarding VR Map (plug-in) v0.0.7, suddenly the Open Street Map no longer works, only the Stamen Terrain. Anybody else with this issue?
The only way to keep it from happening is to not open RTSS or VR Map plug-in ā¦
MFS ran rock-solid for me for several months. Starting with the SU8 āflightā, the sim occasionally gets stuck loading after starting the flight from the world map; when it doesnāt, it frequently crashes during the pre-flight cinematics or within a few minutes after starting the flight. Launching the sim with an empty community folder appears to help, but I donāt care for unmodded default aircraft.
I currently donāt have patience and motivation to debug the issue systematically ā apparently itās not a widespread issue, so the cause might be something obscure and hard to locate, especially since it doesnāt always happen. Instead Iām occasionally checking for updates (graphics driver, MFS add-ons) and trying another flight, hoping that the problem will just go away at some point. ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
Just putting this here to document that Iām experiencing issues.
I have never used a version of this sim that crashes this much! There are times the sim crashes in the main menu and during a flight or when going back to the main menu after a flight! Removed my NVIDIA drivers and did a fresh driver install.
My last resort is probably reinstalling the sim but that will take quite a while reinstalling all my addons!
all we know about such kind of issue is users system related.
Please try to limit your fps to a low value and see how it works. If these kind of issues go aways, may start with checking your pc-case airflow. May of course any kind of mod can have an effecct, but so far I remember not on main menu page.

Same here. Never had a single CTD before SU8. Itās something I never experienced. Now, itās a very present issue and itās quite annoying.
Turns out it was an addon in my community folder. The ship MOD from flightsim.to and so far removing it my sim has been stable! I may have to reinstall the MOD.
I mentioned nothing about PSU and this has zero relations to my hardware. Seems like everyone here is a genius

ā¦ so seems mods also affect the main menu, at least in your case ( what ever these ship mod do there ).
The PSU topic stands for generally system issues and this is what the main reason was if users report that they run into issues just also in main menue.

My setup has been rock solid since launch. I am (was) one of those blessed with almost zero CTDs.
Since SU8 things have changedā¦4 out of 6 attempts lead to CTD in the beginning of the flight (first sound stutters then boom).
I have the same issues after SU8. Before Update 8 Iāve expirienced no CTD for a long time. But now it happens without reasons - doesent matter which sceneries is loaded. But even with empty community folder or not - it should be possible to use (bought) add ons after an update otherwise it makes no sence to have an open platform for addons and mods. t is just enoying and for an enoying problem it should be alowed to use drastical words. I donāt want to speculate about the reasons of that issue but xbox and PC are totally differnt platforms and NEVER can go well because a PC have more options like graphic card drivers, sound card and many other single devices while XBOX is just one system which has all the same components.
