CTD at different situations - not able to "play" at all

i am not able to play the sim. I experiance CTD at different situations. Startup, MainMenue, Select Airplane, Controller setup, start flight, on the runway, a few minutes into the flight (I did manage to start once from a rundway!). I feel like I got scamed. Errorcodes are all over the place. I do not even know where to start.
So far I did diconnect alle not necessary periferials, closed all not necessary background Apps, Reinstalled the Sim completly fresh

Same. 4 hours play time. All trying to load or play game. So many CTD’S. Have tried everything I can think of. Uninstalled 2020, uninstall 2024, removed all flies and folders related to MSFS. Updated drivers, verify files in Steam. Overlays disabled. I’m done with it. Disaster of a launch.

Looking very much like one of mine. This is my last one just before I gave up on the game..

No idea what any of this below means though.

Notice we are all Intel CPU’s. Probably nothing related but just happen to notice that.

Tech Alpa ran fine for me. This leads me to believe its a server overload issue still going on.

I hope they sort this out. 3 days, 2oo dollars less in my pocket. I just want to fly the ■■■■ thing lol. Not attempting refund as I’m somewhat confident it will get fixed and I would just wind up buying it again. My gaming consists of FS, and golf (2k23) and Destiny 2. Have been on hiatus from those two and this FS24 was supposed to fill the void. lol

Hi,

Same here with msfs2024 problems… Not able to launch a flight. Day 3 and still not in the air not one time.

History:
DDay -1: Buying Aviator Edition, credit card charged (not cheap 298.92 cad)
Day 1: Took forever to install, blocked at too many users are trying to connect
Day 2: Got to select aircraft, CTD menu (90%), CTD launching flight (10%)
Day 3: Reinstalled Sim, in menu (100%), CTD launching flight (99%)

No addon installed and I was able get in the flight only 1 time before a CTD (touching an aircraft switch just after getting in the aircraft). I see on YouTube and from comments that a lot of people are flying (not perfectly but they do). I feel they are lucky, lol. It’s a bit frustrating after all this because I’m not sure if I’m waiting for MS to fix something just to be able to load a flight or if I have a problem on my side to debug. I know, there is bigger problems in the world…

Any suggestions to try (besides waiting and fly MSFS2020 that is working well)?

Thanks,
Julien from CYUL

I’m having the same problem. Crashes 2 mins after loading with this error:

I’m getting a crash to desktop today that I cannot solve. It crashes at various stages of the load. I see the Asobo screen, the Xbox Screen, the Blackshark Screen almost always get to the Bush flights screen, then when the blue loading line is about 3/4 way through it’s length, FS crashes. The odd time I will make it to the Globe screen, but shortly after crashes to desktop. No error given, Just disappears. I’ve removed it with my XBox App, reinstalled it. same thing. I’ve gone into my Xbox library and clicked fix, it apparently fixes it and the play button turns green. Doesn’t help, still crashes. Community folder completely empty. no content.xml file. I’ve tried to delete my cloud settings, but that doesn’t seem to work either as when I start 2020 again I’m still faced with the box asking me if I want to start in normal or safe mode. Doesn’t matter which one I chose, half way through the loading process the sim crashes. I’m really at a loss to know what to do. I even did a complete restore of the C Drive but still the sim crashed. It’s like it’s remembering something from the cloud, but when I delete from xbox app it doesn’t delete the settings. I sure hope someone can help. Been at this for 8 hours already.

EDIT: I had thought I was in the MSFS2020 forum, maybe I’m not. Perhaps a Mod could be kind enough to move this to the right place. Thankyou.

Looks like the same too me @N7201U.

I believe the issue might be related to the server or connection, as all my other games are functioning properly. Unfortunately, it seems we may need to wait until the server problems are resolved.

Hi, I have The same problem with nearly the same HW. I think it has someting to do with RAM/pagefile issues (NVME). Only uses 12 GB RAM in HW Monitor. Let me know if/when it is solved.
I will work further on this, and keep you posted.

Same problem. CTD at random. Most time I’ve been able to have the game open was about 3 min. Usually it CTD right away or within 30 seconds. I’ve tried disabling xmp. Even went and bought new ram. Still CTD. I’ve uninstalled MSFS2020 completley thinking it might be interfering with MSFS2024. Still CTD. Same 0xc0000005 code all of you have received. I’ve uninstalled iCue, Armoury Crate and anything else that might be interfering to no avail. Reinstall and rollbacks of graphic drivers did nothing. Checked audio drivers, nothing. Unplugged peripherals, still CTD. Screamed into a pillow, still CTD. feel like I’ve tried everything short of buying a new cpu in case mine has the intel issue.

Are you using Steam or Xbox?

Same exact issues as Upstate3090. I have tried just about all I can think of but it just wont run for more than a couple minutes. Couple times I can move quickly and get to see a 172 at an airport, but then boom crash… most of the time it never gets that far.

Running Steam and its the only thing other than MS2020 I have on this PC

PC Specs
CPU: 14700KF
MB: Rog Strix Z790-H Gaming
GPU: MSI Ventus 3X 4070 Super
RAM: 32gb Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 CL30
HD: SSD
OS: Win11 10.022631
DirectX12
Nvidia driver: 566.14 (tried going back to 566.12)
Internet speed: apprx 800mbs

I’m in the same boat with CTD every time it completes the load screen and gives you the option to select Accessibility or Continue. Like most folks I couldn’t get pass the load screens on day one. Day two, I played most of the day, just exploring, and enjoying all that great eye candy. This morning I woke up early to enjoy a sunrise flight and it’s been CTD city. Hope this gets sorted out soon.

Same for me

I’m not sure if this will work for you guys, but I set all my speech and language settings in Windows to English (US) and started Steam as an administrator. So far, it’s been working fine for me. I hope this helps you too!

All Intel is speaking a very clear language to me. Have you tried switching to another CPU?
I’m on three different AMD systems here, from mid-range 9800X3D up to high-end 7995WX (where the first is my main PC for gaming) and hadn’t a single glitch, not to mention CTD, in about 16 hours of very different flights plus checking career mode etc. (after I sorted out the known max-core bug).

Ok I just got it working. Sonic Studio and RealTek audio sources disabled seemingly fixed it for me. I had just removed Armoury Crate as well. Hope this helps someone.
