It’s another stack overflow exception, which tells us nothing
Presume you have tried all the usual things - removing all USB devices except the mouse and keyboard, cleared the community folder and so on.
Do that first.
If you tried that and it didn’t work download the Process Monitor from Microsoft, Process Monitor - Windows Sysinternals | Microsoft Docs unzip it and run procmon , then run it until it crashes, then save the file. It basically gives a running commentary on what the program is doing. I’m hoping this will give sufficient information to maybe figure out the problem.
Note: this is highly experimental, but should be harmless, and I have tried it on my own working installation and it didn’t seem to cause any problems.
Thanks Paul. I am doing a new installation now to see if any changes. I’ll keep you informed about the status.
After new installation, it is working properly
Thanks
I have the exact same error message after a few days of downloading the mandatory update. In my area the bandwidth is very limited. Is there any way I can reinstall without having to re-download 100GB or so (because that will probably take more time than when the next update becomes available and the whole circus starts all over again) ? I already tried repair, removed all content from the community folder etc.
I reinstalled everything and now everything works again. However I had another (unrelated) issue which I fixed by running sfc /scannow so it is possible that this could have fixed the issue in MSFS too.
