If you tried that and it didn’t work download the Process Monitor from Microsoft, Process Monitor - Windows Sysinternals | Microsoft Docs unzip it and run procmon , then run it until it crashes, then save the file. It basically gives a running commentary on what the program is doing. I’m hoping this will give sufficient information to maybe figure out the problem.
Note: this is highly experimental, but should be harmless, and I have tried it on my own working installation and it didn’t seem to cause any problems.
