Every time, every plane, after setting up a flight, and clicking “fly” I will get a loading screen that gets to around 75-80%, then a CTD, or even sometimes a black frozen screen.
I can fly out of pretty much every other airport with any other plane, and I can use VR, and it all looks GREAT—i’ve tried everything I can find to do.
I’ve upgraded to the latest Windows update, I have the latest Nvidia drivers for my 2080 Ti, and yet it continues to happen. It is absolutely reproducible.
No pix to show…no need.
CTDs are almost always caused by outdated mods, every time the sim is updated the chances of a mod causing issues increases. So it’s always worth regularly checking to see if your installed mods have any updates available.
Try moving the mod files out of the community folder temporarily and give it another test, they could be the culprit.
Be sure to restart the sim once the mod files have been moved out.
If you continue to get CTDs after removing the mod files, try deleting and recreating the rolling cache.

Well, thanks for the attempt, but, Nope, this ain’t it. Took EVERY SINGLE thing out of my community folder (which were all MSFS approved in the first place) and tried it…same CTD…then deleted and reset my rolling cache…still the same CTD with the same flight.

Sorry that’s not worked for you, do you by any chance have a manual cache set for that area?
You could also try disabling the rolling cache temporarily to see if it then loads without CTD.

Check your content manager and make sure that there isn’t anything listed under the Update Available option.

I just checked, and Asobo-handcrafted EGLL worked fine for me, no CTD etc. But I have this exact same issue with a payware addon called ORBX KTIW. With that installed, I can neither spawn at that airport nor any other airport near it. Uninstall that and everything’s fine. And that makes me wanna ask you: 1) Are you 100 percent sure you have thoroughly removed all free, community-made addons, files etc from the Community folder? If yes, then 2) have you bought any airport or scenery addons in the past that installs an airport or scenery into the sim and near EGLL?
I tested it with my community folder COMPLETELY emptied, and I kept having the same issue. It happens emptied and it happens with all my scenery installed. No diff. Doesn’t matter the plane, either.

OK, well i finally ran some crash logs and it looks like i may have a corrupt Windows installation, as my ntdll.dll file seems to be the culprit in each crash.
Looking at WU, it looks like the last one did not complete…soo…gonna do a DISM cleanup and retry my last WU and keep my fingers crossed.

You have this issue only with Asobo-handcrafted EGLL and not with any other airport, right?
that is correct.
and I reinstalled/reset windows with the recommended DISM protocol, and it STILL keeps happening. Have input to the zendesk officials as well with submitted msinfo files as well. still no fix

Your issue is one I’m looking into heavily, not just because I have a similar one but also because there are some others who seem to be going through the same, specially after the latest official update.
What’s really baffling me is this: Those who are having similar issue are having it because of a bunch of specific third party payware airport and scenery addons, and then there is a small number of people who are having it because of some freeware community addons.
But in your case, according to what you said and confirmed, it’s happening with the default, Asobo-handcrafted EGLL, which came with the Premium Deluxe edition of MSFS. Just for reference:
So I have a request, since you seem to be willing to experiment: do you think you wanna remove the Asobo-handcrafted EGLL via Content Manager and try spawning at the airport again and see if you still get a CTD? (You can redownload it again at a later time if you want to.)
If you remove/uninstall it and do not get a CTD any longer, then we might get a clue as to what’s happening.

Well, yes, I get another CTD without the EGLL Asobo pack being installed as well…

I get this CTD at Heathrow when I have Orbx/Pilot Plus Wycombe Airpark installed. I tried deleting cache and running without a cache. It’s fine when I remove Wycombe Airpark.
Glad yours works, but mine does not, even without it being installed.
