I think we have done all we can in trying to diagnose and fix my machine without resorting to a full windows reinstall and I thank you for your help.
Now it’s time to wipe the C drive I think and start with a fresh windows. I’m right out of ideas and have tried every suggestion listed on this forum and others without a sign of success.
So funny that Flight Sim worked fine before the last update!
