Crashes everytime during the update phase in Content Manager. I have the Premium Deluxe version, no mods, all stock from the Windows Store - some 3rd party aircraft through marketplace. Can not update the sim - as soon as I click update, CTD. Can’t experience the sim, at the moment.
It just crashes when you select update. No mods or anything like that. Very strange and sadly seeing a lot of reports on social media and in the OT too.
You are seeing Lots of reports on “Social Media”? That is the LAST place I would view for anything pertaining to MSFS. Social Media, these days, is full of nothing but wannabe Influencers gushing out bad info for their own benefit.
Neither of those are solutions when I haven’t touched anything outside the stock version and what is available to me. I’m not removing official 3rd party content on their own marketplace for an update, neither am I renaming folders. Ridiculous. This is a big problem they need to look at immediately.
It would help if you could tell what update (aircraft, package) is causing your crash and how your crash looks like (what happens where ? what is reported last ?)
It’s really not. The instructions have always been to empty the community folder, for the last 18 months. Renaming is quicker than copying all the files out. Your call, but that’s how you do it. (I can’t comment on the marketplace addons).
I have 3 updates in Content Manager. Two for the base sim, including Premium Deluxe and the Junkers. Select all 3 to update (around 5gb or a bit less). CTD. All within the Content Manager.
… and what happens if you would select one by one ? There is one cause, not three causes. Or the download itself has a bug… if others don’t have it, it must be one of the three you selected.
I’ll try to reproduce… I’m starting the sim, not going to move Community (I don’t do that with minor updates, but when we have a SU or WO I do… when there’s any issue I’ll tell it here
