I fly exclusively in VR and, like many others, I had no CTDs until SU5 and the latest hot fix. I now usually have a CTD, especially with bush trips, when taking off or soon after becoming airborne.
I have tried most of the tests and ‘fixes’ suggested but none helped.
Out of desperation I replaced my (new) VKB Gladiator NXT joystick with an old but well proven Attack III and to my surprise I was able to complete a stage of the Norwegian bush trip without any CTD.
It may be just luck that I had no CTD, which only time will tell, but I mention it here as it may help others pin down the source of their CTDs. If you can, try changing your flight control(s) to see if that helps.
