Brief description of the issue:

CTD on loading screen about 4/5ths of the way through the bar

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Attempt to load in either normal mode or safe mode. Loading bar will proceed to 4/5ths of the way. Music will stop & CTD a couple seconds later. Device has been rebooted multiple times, and all steps have been followed regarding the troubleshooting procedures for vanilla & loading screen issues. I have no third-party add-ons in the community folder. Caches have been cleared. I have no additional hosts. My game is very vanilla and I just wanted to be able to play.

Many issues may be due to an outdated graphics card. Please state your Graphics Card Driver Manufacturer (NVIDIA, Intel, AMD) and Version (Learn how to find your current graphics card driver version):

Just did a first install of the game through game pass a few hours ago. Also crashes at 4/5 the loading bar after downloading updates, no modification done

CPU: Xeon E-2288G, GPU: AMD RX 7600
I tried a clean reinstall, redownloading the hundred of gbs and nothing changed

No add-ons installed, CTD about 4/5th of the loading bar. Happens if Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection since AAU1.

Deleting my cloud save seems to have fixed the issue

My issue is solved. The problem was that for unknown reason, Steam properties for MSFS were set to not update the game.

Deleting cloud saves via that process prevented the CTD.
Pretty unhappy that I lost the logbook, as well as other settings in reverting to vanilla as per the boilerplate solutions provided by Asobo.

@GovanifY9755 Do you play on Xbox also? I had just played on Xbox & then went to the PC in the same day, and this is when I first experienced this issue. The game is supposed to be able to “play anywhere” but apparently can generate corrupted cloud saves. :frowning:
