Today, finally got my Ham radio and Flt Sim work bench assembled and setup. So using my laptop on battery, with Honeycomb TQ and Virpil Base and Grip plugged into unit. I started MSFS and as it was going through the USA World screens, it froze, and CTD with error message. I restarted it and it opened just fine. Did test hop TO/LDG at PMDY and then parked plane on side of RW, and exited to main area of Program, before it got their it CTD again. It also did it once more when tried to restart. Don’t know if it was being on battery which did it, or what. I am running the latest version, and up till today, had not had a CTD for months. Other than windows updates/store updates, have installed no new programs. Nothing in Community Folder, no add on stuff at all. Additionally I have taken off Zone Alarm because of the new update coming next week. The laptop was shut down prior to moving into my new area, so I was dealing with fresh OS load.
Was going to work on more button/switches updates on the HTQ, but now going to wait. I will try again with the unit plugged in to see if that was the issue.
Not worried about it too much, because the new update next week will throw in a whole bunch of new things which won’t work so got to see what that brings before I get real excited about this.
