It works (offline) with Steam version. it’s a bit quirkier with MS Store version. Sometimes it asks for ‘game disc’ or outright crashes to desktop. But there are workarounds for that version too. I just didn’t have the patience to do too much fiddling and went with Steam version. Too bad about the broken cache system … it would be SO much better (and practical) if it worked OFFLINE too.
