Brief description of the issue:

CTD when loading EHAM, tried even asobo and not 3rd party, keeps crashing. It only crashes on EHAM

Load up EHAM, no other airport crashes

Many issues may be due to an outdated graphics card. Please state your Graphics Card Driver Manufacturer (NVIDIA, Intel, AMD) and Version (Learn how to find your current graphics card driver version):

PC specs and peripheral set up:

Thrustmaster Airbus TCA, Corsair k70, Logitech G Pro Wireless, Ryzen 9 5900x, RTX 3090

Do you have a CTD for a position/runway in particular or whatever you are selecting ?
Also are you using the Standard or Deluxe/Premium Editions that come with detailed EHAM ?

I was using FlyTampa EHAM but I was having issues with EHAM before the FlyTampa scenery released, now it is just impossible honestly.

I then removed the scenery and tried only the deluxe upgrade, after it did not work out I uninstalled the deluxe and even with only the standard version I have a CTD.

Anywhere on EHAM I have a CTD. I do not have tried to approach EHAM but I will get a CTD probably.

At first I thought it was something with my install, but everything works, even 3rd party content(aircraft or scenery) it is just EHAM that gives me a CTD

Thanks for the additional information. I have the Standard Edition and I am not experiencing that issue so I cannot help further. Maybe it is due a hardware or specific setup or FS2020 configuration. Hopefully someone that experienced the same issue will be able to assist.

Have you removed all of your mods, regardless of what they are? There could be a weird, seemingly unrelated side effect happening. I’ve been doing a handful of flights the past week out of EHAM and haven’t had any CTDs. I am on the deluxe version as well.

I have had a CTD using Safe Mode. Afterwards I removed all my third party content from the Community Folder and I still have a CTD.

I assume it is something with my install or maybe my OS(Windows 11 Beta) as my OC settings are stable and I have also disabled them to see if it was an issue with overclocking.

The only thing left for me is a clean install of MSFS and I’d rather not do that, I will probably tinker with it a bit more on the weekend to see if I can fix it or it has disappeared altogether.

Regarding the OS, I don’t think it’s the OS because MSFS runs super stable for me and it would be weird for everything to be stable and only affect EHAM, therefore I believe it is probably the install in some way but not sure

Thinking to an additional point : do you have the cache enabled in msfs2020 settings ?, if yes then delete or disable it.
If still does not work then I assume a fresh install will be necessary after the CTD you mentioned.

I do have cache enabled, I can actually give this a try today. Thanks for the tip, I will update afterwards

Do you use RivaTuner? If yes, delete or disable it. I have had ctd-s at eddf with RivaTuner, deleted it and the ctd-s stopped.

I deleted my cache and now it is fixed, even using FlyTampa scenery. It was the cache that was giving me the CTD.

Great to hear !, I think I read in one of the forum that a good practice is to delete the cache (if it is enabled) after each Sim and World Update.

That is good to know, I own MSFS since the first day and I think I have never deleted the cache, I will start to do this then

It also helps to do it after changing aircraft, and after playing around with graphic settings, or (dis)abling libraries. It has significantly reduced my ctd’s.

I had the same EHAM problem and almost started reĂŻnstalling the SIm. Glad Infound your suggestion just before that.

Hello I am on Xbox series x and I have exactly the same problem, the cache has been deleted, the eham addon from fly tampa deleted and reinstalled several times but still crashes of the simulator

Maybe try asking on the FlyTampa forums. I have no idea how to fix it on xbox or troubleshooting stuff, sorry :frowning:
