Just open ATC when in flight.

Not relevant.
Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:
1.23.12.0 (after Sim Update 8)
Can you confirm if this occurs with the Community Folder empty, no 3rd party plug-ins, and any Marketplace items uninstalled?
No, I can not confirm this. Now I have tried without that and I can not reproduce the CTD. Maybe it’s because of the plane I have flown. Sorry for the alert!
PS: I suspect a very specific aircraft.
Topic can be closed, I think.
Very often, an addon livery “may” cause this.
Often, it may be a livery not selected in the sim, but is just located in the Community Folder.
